The God you believe in might not be the God you think he is. I say this because MANY of the posts I see from Christians on Facebook and other formats seem more Gnostic, more Oprah, more Osteen than the teachings of Jesus.
I stress to you that the Most High God, Yahweh, is NOT a life coach to help you achieve your dreams in a world of catastrophic moral decay. Being a Christian is hard. Many Christians, like C.S. Lewis, have stated they would rather choose another faith because following Christ means you DIE to yourself, not "Live Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps To Living Your Full Potential."
Being a Christian is full of trials (Matthew 10:6).
I see many of us treat the Most High like he's a pagan god to woo or manipulate with sacrifices so that he will bless our wayward souls that play with forbidden fire. The Most High will not be tamed. He is patient. He is kind. But he is also dangerous and will not compromise his purpose.
To say hard times are coming is an understatement. We are several long strides beyond the edge of Romans 1:24. It's our moral blindness and deafness that prevents us from fully seeing it. These are quite possibly the beginning of sorrows. How long until the Day of the Lord? How long until he pours out his undiluted wrath? Maybe tomorrow, maybe in 2150, when the Age of Pisces ends (Matthew 28:20) and the Age of Aquarius begins?
The troubles we have are not merely material war, inflation, poverty, border crisis, rising crime, mass murder, sickness, etc. It is a deeper moral decay. When we have huge segments of the population demanding and cheering and defending the murder and mutilation of confused children, what more needs to be said? You're not watching a movie. You're not watching the game from the sidelines. You're in it. And your couch is evil's palm, fingers closing. The games are distractions. The doors leading out of the stadiums are locked from the outside. Signs on the inside read, "Nothing to see here. Turn around and enjoy the games."
I believe the sword of the Almighty is unsheathed. We can't sit on the fence. I believe that the dreams of Osteen and his ilk tickle many ears and will soon be relegated to a sideshow with its music fading. We are rapidly heading to a time when clean water is a dream, fresh firewood is scarce, medicine is out of date or gone, ammo is rare, stored food is depleted, and many things you can't imagine now are needed for daily survival.
But there is always a remnant (1 Kings 19:18), and there will be "people who know their God [and] shall be strong, and carry out great exploits" (Daniel 11:32).
Maybe that time is relatively far in the future. Nevertheless, soon, there will be no place for liberty-loving people to go. As I look at the world today, it seems bent on inviting catastrophis. It is suicidal. So, gird yourself in the Truth (John 18:37).
They want to burn it all down. Because they believe if the hierarchies are utterly destroyed, i.e., put to death or crucified, then the goodness of humanity will rise again and create paradise on Earth. I'm sorry, but that is exactly the "goodness" preached by the likes of Osteen, whether they or you realize it or not, your Christian Life Coach. The sequence in the preceding sentences mimics (mocks) the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is Gnosticism in a nutshell. And you had better run.
You might be one of those in Matthew 7:22-23 On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
For a while, I’ve had apocalyptic dreams. Some are unforgettable, and some fade. I look at myself and immediately realize as Isaiah, "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"
Who am I to write such things as above? I don't count the cost. I just do it in the spirit of Proverbs 24:11. Though these words proceed from me to you, I'm also looking in the mirror. I'm sure some cringe reading this. Even I do. Some may laugh. I shrug at that. Is it an aspect of my own naivete revealed? My human weakness is compared to that of the god of this world, the spirit of the age with his host of fallen angels and demons in the unseen realm constantly attacking all fronts and leading me astray. I often forget to armor up. I eat as the prodigal son with the swine in my soul. I blink and notice my surroundings, then run to my Father.
I'll borrow from an old Steve Camp song - He Covers Me:
"So let me glory in my weakness till Your strength's revealed in me
It is Your grace alone that helps me carry on to be the man I long to be
So let Your life be perfected, Lord, in me
Until it's You they see."
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out. Proverbs 25:2

What a way to wake a person or a nation. We do live in a time of more
unbelief than before the ark. So sad to see the truth in what is happening and what you said. Thank you for sharing!
